Anne Sawyier is a nonfiction writer based in New York.
Anne is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Columbia University. Her writing, which explores architectural history, film criticism, grief, and memory, has appeared in the LA Review of Books, Another Chicago Magazine, DePaul’s Slag Glass City, and Half and One.
Originally from Chicago, Anne earned her AB in Art History and Arabic from Harvard, a Master’s in Art History from Oxford, an MFA in producing from the American Film Institute. She worked in scripted television in Los Angeles for nearly a decade, including as an agent at Verve and a TV development executive at Annapurna.
She is also a devoted cat mother to Walter and Temmy.
